{Sneak Peek} Citrusy Sweet 60th Birthday

Hello! I've been working on my parents' 60th birthday party details and having so much fun with them! The par-tay is tomorrow night, and my siblings and I are all excited to celebrate an amazing man and woman who we call Dad and Mom.

I am very inspired by color and these citrus colors are soooo pretty and summery....I just adore them! I've tried hard to keep the details thoughtful yet simple but you can be judge when I post pictures and party details next week :-}

**Summer is FLYING BY :-{ and it's that time of the year when I start feeling anxiety about returning to work and all the changes taking place in education, getting my classroom ready, planning new and exciting lessons for a whole new group of students, leaving my little man, etc, etc. You'd think after 14 years, I'd have this under control -- NOPE -- HA!
**My little mister is out-of-control! He's been climbing out of his crib like a madman {and is on his way down the steps for his morning milk as I type}. His big boy room is FINISHED, and we will be moving him into the big boy bed this weekend -- AHHH! BIG BOY ROOM PICS next week!
**I'll be 26 weeks on Monday -- this pregnancy is going so fast! Other than feeling crazy tired, it's been another great pregnancy. I'm going to try to enjoy these last 14 weeks because I'm pretty certain this will be the last time I will have a baby in my belly ;-}

**Grad class #2 starts tonight. ANOTHER Friday night class. UGH. 1 down -- 4 to go. Double ugh.

{Sneak Peek} Maura Kate's 1st

TGIF! We are preparing for my niece's first birthday party tomorrow. Here's a little peek at one of the details, which are really simple and sweet. The weather for tomorrow is supposed to be beautiful {keeping fingers crossed!}. Not only is it Maura's party in the morning, but my family has our fall pictures with Karen Carpenter Photography in the afternoon, and then an outdoor party at my cousin's home that evening. The entire day is dependent on Mother Nature. Praying she cooperates!

{Sneak Peek} Fall Happy Hour

Just a quick little peek of one of the mini desserts I made for our Fall Happy Hour {Pinterest, my new go-to site, was my inspiration, of course!}. Scheduled for this afternoon, this party is all about getting to know our neighbors.

Although we are not thrilled, to say the least, with the weather forecast for tonight, we're excited and going to try to make the best of it! Darn you, RAIN! We had planned on entertaining out back with a bonfire, swingset for the kiddies, and other kinds of fun party details, but it looks like that's all going to have to be changed due to Mother Nature -- there is just no controlling her. Wish us luck!

{Sneak Peek} Girls' Night

Just a quick peek at what I've been planning for the Girls' Night I'm hosting on Thursday for some old friends. Once I finished up the Gourmet Night we hosted in June, I told myself I was going to take a break from everything {including entertaining} this summer. I've definitely lightened up on designing, blogging, and entertaining and have been spending my evenings mostly relaxing -- and it's so nice! I just couldn't help myself with this one -- I had too many ideas not to try them -- ha! More to come...

Boy am I glad it's Friday! Just wanted to give you a little peek of one of my Gourmet Night details. I've still got TONS to do, but I'm chipping away at my list little by little. Wish me luck!

Mother's Day is quickly approaching, and I spent some time this weekend trying to get organized and prepare a little. Next weekend is jam-packed with all kinds of fun stuff, so I figured I better get moving ASAP!

**I haven't seen my sis since February. Now she's home -- for 3 weeks -- Thank God. Oh, how I've missed her {and her fam}!

{Sneak Peek} Cookies & Crafts

Here's a tiny peek at the cookie bar I'm putting together for my little shindig on Friday. In all honesty, I just haven't had the time {or motivation for that matter} to devote to this. Until last night, I hadn't done ONE SINGLE THING to prepare for it....BUT....I caught a second wind around 8:30pm and sprung into action. Hopefully it'll come together in the next 24 hours....AHHH! NOTE :: Cookies and all brunch items still need to be made. Thank goodness I have a half day today!
