{Ginger} So Doggone Lucky!

My husband is Ginger's favorite person and he adores her too. As a matter of fact, he downright spoils her. Rotten. He recently spent the last few weekends (and a lot of money) working on a doghouse for her. I must say, it turned out really cute! AND she even has her first initial on her house. Lucky dog.

It sits in our backyard under a tree and will be a nice cool spot for her on those hot summer days.

Here's our girl...she's one now and has matured a lot. She even sits still for a few minutes and lays in the middle of the yard. She still has a way (long way) to go, but we'll keep her (for now ;)!

Maternity Shoot Prep

Supplies Needed:
1. Black Bandana
2. Crazy Glue
3. Crystals/Beads
4. Toothpick (not pictured)
5. A LOT of patience
I picked up each crystal with a toothpick with a little glue on the end. Then I added a little more glue to the underside of the crystal and placed each where I wanted on the bandana. It was a bit of a pain but ended up working. I will be tying this around poor Ginger's neck for our pictures.
Ginger's Maternity Shoot Bandana - Finished product!

She wouldn't keep her new pink sherpa on for anything. I might be kidding myself with this bandana idea....haha.

I'm having belly shots taken in about 2 weeks when I'm 34 weeks pregnant. In addition to figuring out what I'm going to wear, I put together a little "outfit" for Ginger. As high maintanence as my girl can be, I love her and she's part of our family now. So since she's going to be in a few of the belly shots, I figured I'd make her a little something special for the photo shoot. With her track record, this is totally a long shot, but I couldn't resist! She's going to look so cute....now, if she'd just cooperate.....

Somebody Got a New Collar!

Our new little pup, Ginger, came to us about a week ago from another family (her old name was Penny). They were nice enough to send us home with some of her supplies, including a crate, collar/leash, dog food, etc. The other day, my husband and I decided since she has a new home and new name, it was time for a fresh start all around, so we bought her a new doggie bed, collar, leash, and some other necessities. She also got a bath (didn't like that one too much!), and she smells nice and clean! We're still adjusting to our new routine with Ginger; she's a TON of work, but we LOVE her! She's a good girl (most of the time:o)) and looks adorable with her hot pink and orange paisely collar....much more fitting for our sassy girl!

The New Addition to our Family ~ Ginger!

Introducing GINGER, our new beagle puppy! This all happened very quickly. Bo and I had been himming and hauling for a while over whether or not we should buy a dog and had listed pro and con after pro and con. There were several dogs that we thought would be a good fit for us if we were going to take the plunge, and a beagle happened to be one of them. Ironically, a family friend of ours just happened to be looking for a good home for his four month old beagle pup the other day. He and his wife have two young children and both have full-time jobs and well, let's face it, puppies can be pretty demanding for the first year or so. In any case, I saw his post on FB for anyone wanting the pup, and I called Bo immediately. We talked it over (actually I begged but what does it matter:o)) and decided we'd like to meet this sassy little lady! She's a doll, and we are enjoying her very much! I'm not going to lie, she's definitely a challenge and pretty high maintenance at times, but she needed a good home and how could I resist that sweet little puppy face? I'm a teacher, so it's perfect really....I'm off all summer and Bo and I do not have children yet, so she'll be getting plenty of love and attention from us!
