{Weekend} Adventure Aquarium

Hallelujah for weekends. Time away from work, time to spend with my boys and extended family, time to relax, time to grab a few extra zzzz's {if I'm lucky ;-}, time to get caught up on things around the house that go by the wayside during the busy work week, etc.

Hopefully the weather will break for good in the next month, and playing outside in the warm spring sun will be entertainment enough, but until then, we are always on the lookout for things to keep our active two-year-old interested, educated {it's the teacher in me}, and entertained. Adventure Aquarium it was this weekend.

Amazed by the "fishies" in the big tank :-}

Working on our colors while looking at these pretty, bright, and blurry fish...haha.

Philadelphia skyline just outside the Aquarium.

**One thing my weekend was not? Productive. Oh well, one of those every now and again is soooo refreshing.
**I'm thankful it's March. You? March means a lot of things but mostly that spring is just around the corner!!!
**Starting another grad class tonight....7 more weeks of nights away from my family, writing papers, studying, etc. YUCK.
**Happy Monday?!?!

{Weekend} A Little of This & A Little of That

Time off rocks. I'm feeling so refreshed after a relaxing four day weekend. A little Christmas shopping, a little Mom/daughter/Dean day, a little meal preparation for the coming week, a little trip to Grassy, a little not waking up to an alarm clock....you get the picture. Pure bliss.

I LOVE being home with this little man. Love it, love it, love it.

My hubby and I were fortunate enough to have a great {and unexpected} date night on Saturday night. Freda's Cafe in Cape May, New Jersey was our little dinner spot. SO YUMMY. Freda's is a teeny, tiny hole in the wall in need of some major updating, but it didn't matter one bit -- the food was incredible.

Why a quick overnight to our shore house? Well, my husband, his father and brother-in-law are in the process of tearing it down and re-doing the entire house. It desperately needs a facelift, wouldn't you say? BUT....we love it there and feel so fortunate to have a cute little place right on the bay. And thankfully, my in-laws own a second home right next door that was gutted and renovated about ten years ago. We are able to spend time there while the "pink house" is under renovation. Progress pics soon! We're excited!
